As we expand, we're seeking a motivated and methodical engineer who is prepared to tackle the challenges of system testing across a wide spectrum of capabilities and contribute to the iterative development of the systems-under-test.WHAT YOU’LL DOContribute to developmental testing of tactical systems across multiple division, including support to both ground and air testing.With oversight, integrate Anduril’s Test and Evaluation process into various programs and ensure adherence throughout the life of the program.Take on new challenges, create a path forward, and either see solutions to conclusion or hand off solutions for execution by other engineers.With supervision, ensure safe operations of all testing efforts in accordance with established operating procedures and practicesWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to define test requirements and ensure alignment with system capabilities and mission objectives.Support the continuous improvement of test procedures, safety protocols, and documentation standards to uphold the integrity of all test operations.With guidance, coordinate with private/government test sites to test and evaluate systems and softwareAnalyze data from tests to validate system performance and identify areas for improvementBecome a technical resource in the product(s) you are supportingREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.0-2 years of test engineering experience, other engineer discipline experience, or comparable skill (i.e. military exercise planning & evaluation)Hands-on project experience, whether through internships, senior capstone projects, personal builds, or hobby engineering that demonstrates practical problem-solving abilityNo extensive test process experience required, but a willingness to learn the rigor of formal test planning, safety review boards, Flight/Test Readiness Reviews, and technical report writing is essentialAbility to interpret and analyze test data using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similarProactively seeks solutions and takes ownership of problems rather than waiting for taskingMust be coachable and able to rapidly implement feedback from senior engineers and managementStrong written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results and briefing findingsWillingness to work flexible hours and on test ranges in field conditions, including remote or austere environmentsFlexibility to adapt to varying schedules and willingness to travel to test sites as needed. Up to 50% travel during critical phases of testing.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.In this role, you will be subject to pre-employment and randomized substance screening, as required by the Company.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCurrent Secret or Top Secret security clearanceDemonstrated interest in engineering beyond the classroom — hobby projects, competition teams (AIAA, SAE, FSAE, Design-Build-Fly), or personal tinkering encouragedDirect experience in the development, testing, and deployment of autonomy or imaging systems in a defense or aerospace context.Familiarity with FAA, FCC, and other relevant regulationsRC pilot experience in Groups 1 - 3 rotary and fixed wing UAVsFamiliarity with software development practices and experience with programming languages used in autonomy and robotics (e.g., Python, C++, ROS).Experience with the Department of WarUS Salary Range$86,000—$114,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
