Become A Us Foods® Driver!Join Our Community of Food People!The Non CDL Driver is a delivery position responsible for driving a company vehicle limited to a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 25900. The position will be assigned stops to deliver foodservice products with a high level of service to customers. One year multi-stop delivery experience required or six month local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience. Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT). Our Van Drivers earn $22US FOODS® is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus.Main Ingredients of the JobSafely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery timesCarefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areasVerify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signaturesHandle collections and payments from customers when applicableProfessionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experiencePerform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspectionPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift requiredComfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) requiredWhat You Bring to the TableRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*Must be at least 21 years of ageAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.Why US FOODS®US FOODS® helps our customers Make It, with products and services that shape the communities where we live and work. The expected base rate for this role is between $22-27.
